Did it get held up in customs? That seems rather long .

 

I guess it spent four days in Anchorage, but that was over the weekend. I found it curious that when it arrived in Louisville, it was tagged with "Import Scan". I hope that doesn't mean it has yet to clear customs.

 

the import scan means it hasn't cleared customs yet.   you should see arrival and departure scans in louisville, then arrival and departure scans at your local hub, then one saying it's out for delivery.

Cool, well then you are pretty much good to go .

 

Just think that it's going to be all worth it when your anxious hands rip the package apart to try out your new precious.

 

Louisville is only about 2.5-3 hours from where I live, so I'm hoping they're able to get it here, process it at the local hub and get it on a truck for delivery tomorrow morning.

Edit: Woot! Just realized they show it as on schedule for a delivery date of 3/10.

Edit: It's now in Indianapolis. So far so good.

 

Same issue here. The thing shipped on 3/7 with a scheduled delivery date of 3/12, and then re-scheduled to 3/17. Pretty ridiculous. Although the latest update does show that it finally made it out of China.

 

Out of curiosity, when did you purchase your laptop?

I've got an estimated ship date of 3/13 and I'm nervous it'll get delayed because of all the stories around this forum.

 

Depends on your build really. Most users don't have that long of shipping waits anymore compared to the initial releases of Lenovo's latest refreshes.

 

I placed the order on 3/4. Originally, my ship date was something like 3/19 but it actually shipped on 3/7 so that might make you feel better.

 

+1 I placed my order on 3/5 with a scheduled ship of 3/18 and it shipped today the 9th

 

My initial ship date was 3/11. It shipped 3/4.

 

What's got two thumbs and is typing this on a brand new T500? Me!

Thanks for all the input! I placed my order 3/2, but have yet to hear about my laptop shipping. Looks like I'll have to wait impatiently for a little while more!

I ordered a x200. I didn't change the specs much outside of ordering the higher powered processor and requesting a Vista -> XP downgrade. I gave the sales people a call, and they just told me it should ship out some time this week...

I'm crossing my fingers it will ship soon!

 

I've ordered r400 for my friend weeks ago and the ups information is really funny. I think a human being not capable of finguring out what the hack is going on with the shippment although the box arrived as scheduled date.

Since the machines comes from overseas. it needs to go through customs and the papers go to various locations, including their distribution center in Alaska!

 

My T400 has arrived.

The wait really wasn't bad at all.

Probably going to try for a clean install....

 

I was told mine would ship in 5 days but it shipped the next day. I'm assuming this is because the Y650's are already pre-made and no customization. I don't think they're imported either. I think they have a stash of them already in the states. Sure saves a lot of time shipping.

 

My new T400 is still on its way here......It have stayed at AK for 2 days.

 

That's pretty typical.

 

My X200T was ordered on Feb. 25, shipped exactly on the estimated ship date of 3-09-09, and arrived today, 3-13-09, after spending just part of one day in customs. I guess it varies...
