Would there be any issues using a USB 3.0 expresscard with my i5 x220?

If not, please recommend a specific card. Or are they all the same?

I've bought one when the X220 came out. I can't quite remember which model it was, but I stopped using it because it got very, very warm, even when no USB device was attached. Perhaps this was particular to the card, but worth keeping in mind.

    That's not good.

    Anyone have a positive experience?
