The USB port on the right side of my T400 (the side with DVD drive) doesnt seem to be working. I have plugged various accessories into it with no success. I have tried USB drives, wireless mouse, etc. Nothing works in that USB port. The USB ports on the left side are working fine. I "think" this may have started after W7 upgrade, but don't remember for sure. Any ideas? If I go to Computer this is what I see. Is that 3d item the USB port?

If I left click on the "Powered off" item nothing happens. If I right click on it, I see the following options: "Power on," "Power manager," "Eject," or "Create shortcut." The only option that seems to do anything is power manager. The others appear to do nothing.

I have also included some screen captures from device manager. How do i fix this issue? TIA

    You've rebooted, right?

Try uninstalling the device in device manager, rebooting, and reinstalling it.

Try disabling USB power management in the power manager.

This exact same problem has happened a few weeks ago with my T61. Except NONE of them worked. I had to restart the computer for the USB ports to work (the wireless mouse, printer, etc. it would act is if nothing was in any USB port, even though they were all plugged in already. Very strange. Each time, a restart would fix the issue.

Ethyriel - winner winner chicken dinner! A reboot didnt work, but uninstalling it and then rebooting seems to have done the trick. I was skeptical that would work since the 2 other USBs were working...but it worked. I am happy to report that all 3 USBs are working again. Thanks.
