Hi
I got a small USB microscope from ebay, however my Lenovo x220 unable to detect it but light is switch on on the scope, tried all USB ports and docking. I even tried to do a clean install of my Windows but still dont detect at all. Device manager doesnt show any ! or unknown device or any things new, no USB detection sound when insert the USB in windows. If I put in a thrumb drive or external HDD or phone or whatever, everything can be detected. So USB ports are working fine since any other device can be found.
I tried the same scope in my X60s, T61, Dell D630 it works with no problem, can detect using any ports on all 3 laptops mention.
I tried on Dell e6220 and it have the same problem as X220, just unable to detect it but light is switch on on the scope, means there are power going in... but everything is just same as my X220...
No error message, nothing...
Please advise if any one exp the usb unable to detect only certain deivce and solutions if have...
Thanks.

Is there a driver for the scope you can install? Some hardware will connect and appear properly in device manager - no ! - but still requires a driver to fully function.

The driver unable to install if it cant detect the hardware. It will detect the device first and if not found it will close. I try a few other i5 CPU laptop and seems all cant detect it... But any older CPU like CD or C2D cpu can detect it with no issue. So likely is not compatible with i5 CPu i suspect...
USB problem kindly help.
