I have a Lenovo X61. When I undock the computer and then redock the computer into the ultrabase the USB ports stop working. The dvd drive and the sound continue to work, and the computer gets power through the dock, so the only thing that stops working are the USB drives.

The only solutions I have found are plugging the USB directly into the ports (which somewhat negates having the ultrabase as a docking station) and rebooting the computer (which also negates the supposed ease of switching the computer from docked to undocked status).

    Anyone know of a solution?

on the left side of the ultrabase is a button you need to press before you take the ultrabase off; if your USB ports on the base arent working, press the button wait until the red light goes off then pull the base off and put it back on; your USBs should work now; this is what worked for me i had the same problem
