This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I just bought a ThinkPad 13 and I was using HDMI to HDMI and it supported 2560x1440.

    Then tried USB Type C to HDMI and it only supported 1920x1080 (on the same 1440p monitor).

    Should the USB Typc C to HDMI support a higher resolution? Or was my eBay adapter dodgy? Or is it my linux OS?
