I'd like to eventually have Ultimate 64-bit on my Lenovo T61. Probably wait until next year for better driver support.

Anyway, if you have Ultimate 32-bit pre-installed on your system from Lenovo will Microsoft or Lenovo send you Ultimate 64-bit for free (or maybe just shipping charges)?

I know that if you buy the retail version of Ultimate it include both 32-bit and 64-bit in the package, but I'm not sure how this works with pre-installed ultimate with just recovery disks from Lenovo. If you go to the micrsoft website they give options of how to upgrade from other versions of Vista, but not Ultimate 32-bit to Ultimate 64-bit. They just say it's include in the retail box.

I did not think that there was an upgrade path to the ultimate editions. I thought ultimate was only available via retail.

    (I could be wrong ...)
