Is it safe/ok to slip a business card or something similar on the topside of the ultrabay device? Weather I put in the battery or DVD, my ultrabay wiggles a bit. The plastic underneath it is thin and flexy, so whenever it's picked up or moved around it makes a tapping/clacking noise when the plastic bends and hits the bottom of the ultrabay device. I thought it would be better to put the shim/card on top, rather than on the bottom.

Has anyone done something similar? Are there easier/cleaner solutions to this problem? I did this with the leftside of the palmrest as well and it seemed to work out fine.

I feel bad that everyone's Thinkpad came built to perfect tolerances except mine! Business card it is then.

This is normal. Tolerances are not perfect.
