Here's the scene: locked the computer by swiping 5 fingers on the screen, computer goes into locked mode, computer goes into standby or sleep by itself, then I leave it alone over night, then in the morning the touchpad and trackpoint do not respond. Did a Shut Down and the cursor responds when the Lenovo screen and the screen with the "change user" prompts show up. Cursor continues to respond to the touchpad/trackpoint when the desktop loads UNTIL the red spot (simple tap) shows up on the desktop. (Somehow whne I wrote this, the Simple Tap red button disappeared and does not respond when I right click on the desktop and prompt it to show). By the way, I'm running Win 7.

This happened to me twice. First time, I called Lenovo and the first two service reps said it was a hardware issue. Third service rep said it was software and solution was to uninstall and reinstall the Ultranav driver, which worked.

I repeated the above solution for the second time now and it seems to do the trick. Of course, I first ran the updates before I uninstalled the driver. I suspect it's a bug between Ultranav and Tablet PC.

Anyone else experienced this? Anyone willing to try to replicate the above scene for their computer?

Same friggin thing happened this morning. It was in Tablet mode and I shut her down. This morning, I boot up, put it into laptop mode and freakin' touchpad and trackpoint are NOT working. Is there a quick fix besides uninstalling and reinstalling the Ultranav driver? Or is it NOT a software issue and time to call Lenovo and send it to depot??
