    What is good about doing that?
    If somehow I need to reinstall my system, will the R&R stuff show up again?

    @soulesschild,
    I'm thinking it's got to do with R&R being interated with CSS. Perhaps you can try uninstalling CSS before R&R. Otherwise, safe mode sounds like a good idea. If you're braver, then you can manually delete the files/folders and go through the registry deleting all entried pointing to R&R. Otherwise, I'm not too sure as I don't have R&R or CSS installed on my system anymore.

    @GrA,
    What good is it uninstalling R&R?
    Well, most people would have a 3rd party backup program (Acronis, Ghost, etc) which is faster than R&R. Even if you uninstall it, you can always download R&R from IBM and reinstall it. As long as you've already burnt your recovery disc set, you can always return to factory settings.

    You can also choose to completely get rid of R&R and get rid of the hidden partition and still use R&R from the 1st CD in the Recovery set that you make. When you boot with the 1st CD, you should be able to access R&R on the CD which should allow you to backup to an external HDD or DVD (not too sure about the DVD though).
