    Greetings:

If you just need to carry your ThinkPad X200 plus external mouse and power supply, what's a quality, hopefully light in weight, bag/case you would recommend that runs $100 or less?

If it matters, transportation method is a car, and then walking. 10% of the time, walking would be several miles, but most of the time, walking would be under a mile.

    Thank you.

Bloody hell, you could fit a dozen X200s in that thing!

I hope I'm not putting words in the OP's mouth, but I'm assuming that since he opted for the ultraportable X200 that an ultraportable bag would be the best mate.

I have one of these and used it with my X61s:

The bag is relatively small which forces you to carry only the things that you need thus keeping weight and bulk to a minimum. Depending on your requirements, this could be a good or bad thing. Note that the site says the bag has been recently re-designed to fit up to a 15.4" MBP. My version maxes out at probably 13.3" notebooks but is more of a 12" notebook bag.

I use the ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case with my x200. It is 12x12x4, weighs about 2 pounds empty, has space for the laptop w/ 9 cell, AC adapter, a thin binder or spiral, two pens, a small notepad, and a newspaper. It also looks fantastic with the leather exterior, subtle ThinkPad accents, provides great padding, and an exceptional strap with swivels price between $60 and $80.

    Greetings:

While it pushes close to the $100 mark (pre shipping), would a Waterfield sleeve with straps and a piggy back work well?

If yes, would horizontal work better than vertical?

jonlumpkin, for the ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case, how does the weight work for you? I.e. does it get hard on your shoulder et al after a bit?

sudeepr71, what made you pick that sleeve compare to others?

    Thank you.

True! but for everyday use, i don't expect to take just my notebook to school or work....You can never replace pen and paper!...lol

On the contrary, here is a good website I came across, that does full size customization:
