I have comparing the specs for the 6-cell ("enhanced") battery for the T61 and the 7-cell ("high capacity") battery. But oddly they are both shown as 5200 mAh on the sites I've examined.

One other point is that these are listed on the Lenovo website as batteries for the T60 series, yet I've also read the T60 batteries won't work with the T61. If the T60 series did work would we not be able to get the 9-cell battery?

While the 5200 spec might be right, when I check the "Design capacity" of the 7 and 6 cell batteries, I get the following numbers:

    Design Capacity:

    65.52Wh 7 Cell
    56.16Wh 6 Cell

And if you see my picture post, you can see the 7 cell does have a larger physical size over the 6 cell.

Ah. Interesting. The 4-cell shows 2600+ (don't recall exactly) mAh. That's an obvious difference. Now to find how mAh and Wh relate....

So there is a bit over a 10% increase in capacity showing there.

Multiply the mAh value by the voltage of the battery and you have the Wh value.
