I recently clean installed XP on my X61s which has 1GB Intel Turbo Memory installed.
I then installed the disabling tool driver from Lenovo to remove the exclamation mark in device manager.
Later on I decided to physically remove the turbo memory module as it is probably only adding to the heat build up in the cramped space underneath the palmrest.
Everything still works fine and no issues whatsoever. But since I am an anal clean install freak I am wondering if I can uninstall the disabling tool driver somehow?

Guys, I don't mean to sound arrogant, but although not on programmer level, I am not a complete beginner.
Anyone out there who has actually done this before? I am thinking perhaps inf removal? -
*11 UNINSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
1. On the Start menu, select the Control Panel.
2. Open the 'Programs and Features' applet (you may first
have to select 'Switch to Classic View').
3. Select 'Intel(R) Turbo Memory and Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager'.
4. Right click, select 'Uninstall/Change' and execute.
5. The Windows Automated Uninstaller* wizard opens with message
'Welcome to the Uninstallation Program'. Click on 'Next'.
6. The Windows Automated Uninstaller* wizard executes and uninstalls
the software. Click on 'Next' to continue.
7. The Windows Automated UnInstaller* wizard states that the system
should be restarted. Click 'Finish' to continue and restart the
system. -

Thanks for the effort, but it sounds to me that you are referring to the Intel Turbo Memory management software for Vista.
I am running XP where Turbo memory does not work and referring to the Turbo memory disabling tool: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68244
I am trying to find out if I can uninstall this.
