    Hello,

    I recently bought a T61 and wiped the operating system that it came with and installed Vista Ultimate x64.
    I installed all of the updates from Windows Update and Lenovo's System Update. However the Device manager is showing an unknown device and I have no idea how to figure out what the correct driver is.

    Here is some information about the device:
    Bus type guid: {9d7debbc-c85d-11d1-9eb4-006008c3a19a}
    Physical Device Object name: \Device\USBPDO-7
    Hardware Ids:
    USB\VID_162F&PID_4003&REV_0100
    USB\VID_162F&PID_4003

    Thanks,
    Alex

    write down every piece of hardware your computer came with, include everything. compare the list with the items on the device manager and check them off. If any remain unchecked.......

    Is this the only way?

    Is there a better forum for this question than the lenovo section?

    Did you figure it out? I have the same issue after restoring Vista Ultimate 32 from Lenovo recovery disks onto my T61p.

    Yes, I figured it out. It was the Wireless USB. Go to the Lenovo website and download the WUSB driver.

    I had luck right clicking the unknown device and selecting 'update drivers' - worth a shot
