Is it just me or is ANYONE else seeing an "Unrecognized USB Device" issue with their T61p sometime after coming out of standby or hibernation? Or sometimes just in general?
I've updated all ThinkVantage Update related drivers. Also installed the JUST released Vista KB Hotfix for USB issues and performance/reliability issues which I read about at ActiveWin.com.
Still seeing this problem. Has anyone else seen it? I am about to call Lenovo support. It's annoying the piss out of me. I _think_ it's the fingerprint reader, but aren't 100% sure. I did unplug every USB device from my system and it still happens, without a docking station, so it's definitely something IN the computer itself which frustrates me when Vista suggests I unplug the device and plug it back in!![]()

I have something similar with an LG laptop -
the "unrecognized USB device" seems to be my
WiFi adaptor for some reason (I don't think that's
a USB device), and I lose networking.
I just upgraded the driver, hopefully that helps fix it.... -
its not the fingerprint reader, that's "biometric co-processor", at least on mine, i never installed the driver for it

So you have an unrecognized device as well? Do you see Vista warn you about it intermittently?

I called Lenovo tech support in Atlanta (thank god they are in the US) on this today, and they have no clue what's going on. He asked me to update my bios only to find that I had a newer version than even he knew about. Also asked me to install Intel chipset drivers, but I already had the latest version.
He did say it's likely not the fingerprint reader, SD card controller or anything like that.
My theory? Related to the wireless USB, which I do have on this system. Does anyone else have wireless USB and have you ever seen the Unrecognized USB Device bubble pop up from your system tray?
