I'm very interested in seeing one of these. Anyone know for sure when they are scheduled to be released? I had read somewhere that it might be around the middle of February. The pictures of it look good, especially the gray one. Could be pretty nice if this one cools better than the Y450.

An ATI HD5740 in a 14" laptop? Woah!

Well, in this Engadget article today the author suggested that the Y560 and Y460 will both be released in March (they've been wrong before, so take with a grain of salt):
Something doesn't add up in that article. The Y460 has an HD5740 or HD 5650, but the larger Y560 only features an HD5730?

From this article it looks like the Y460 is coming out in Feb while the Y560 is coming out in March. The Rapid Drive technology looks interesting but just getting a standard SSD seems a more straight forward approach. Depends on how they will price it.

The GPU selection on the Y460 does seem odd. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a typo. It will be a beast of a machine if it does have an ATI 5740 with rapiddrive/ssd.

    Most likely it's a typo for a 5470. ;)

I'm a bit worried I'd pay a hefty premium for the Rapid Drive, but I least found my next laptop. (5650 in a 14")
