    Hello,

    Good Night I have one Lenovo T61p with the basic following Specification:

    Win 7 X64 Ultimate
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T9300 2.50GH
    Memory RAM 4GB
    SSD 128GB
    Graphic FX570

    I want upgrade my System I am conisdering:

    Lenovo T400s
    Win 7 X64 Ultimate
    Intel® Core 2 Duo P9600 2.8 GHZ
    Memory RAM 8GB
    HD SSD 128GB

    I want get fastest at my actual system, I am looking strong system, I am working with Trading Software ( lot java applications )
    No Gammer applications, never games.

    My specific asks are:

    1.- I am considering buy a Good New Laptop ( above comparasion ) ?
    2.- Do you have better recommendation ?
    3.- I will notice better performance with my new system ?

    I don't believe you're going to get a real performance improvement like that.
    Better wait for Calpella notebooks coming in Jan.

    A new machine can use a SSD to its full potential, which will give it an advantage, though the CPU performance won't be a huge leap.

    The largest benefit in upgrading to the T400s you configured is the SSD, which is much quicker than a HDD. I would have suggested that you install an SSD in your T61, but because of the T61's SATA speed cap, it may not be worth it.

    Bottom line: Stick with your current laptop (it's definitely not bad) and wait for newer, better models/technology to come.

    He already has a 128 SSD in his T61 so a T400s would definitely a bad investment. I would get a W510 in January if portability isn't much of a concern.
