Hi,
I have one Lenovo T61, but want updare the HDD, I have 120 GB in 5200 rpm
and want to at 7200 rpm, because think that I would have beter prformance, I am correct ? If the answer is YES, How would be the Mfg or HDD Style that must buy ? Remember time ago, I had one IBM Travelstar HDD but realy was very noise...I am looking quiet HDD and fast too and of course 100% compatible,
Thanks

A 7200RPM HDD will be faster than a 5400RPM one. Any 2.5" SATA drive should work, look at reviews for models you are interested in so you can get an idea of noise levels.

Thank you, Do you know where can find review of these products ? Want review and performance too,
Thanks -
Just google the model names and you'll be able to find plenty of reviews. Also, you may want to consider a 320GB 5400rpm hard drive. It will give you better performance than a 160gb 7200rpm HDD, use less power, and provide more storage space. Check out this link for info on 2.5 hard drive performance: http://www23.tomshardware.com/storage25.html?modelx=33&model1=425&model2=414&chart=142

Thank you, good link.
But one ask:
320GB 5400 rpm has better perfrmance vs 160Gb 7200 rpm ?
I think that Yes in storage capacity but 7200 rpm must be more fast right ? -

Just to add on with what Arkit3kt said, the 7200rpm will have faster access time (by a few milliseconds... hardly noticeable), but the data read rate will be higher for the 320gb 5400rpm most likely. Once again though, check out the charts at Tom's Hardware.

Thank you, SORRY but really I am new in these HDD Themes....I went at link and show that 7200 has better performance in some parameters. My specific ask is:
I have My Lenovo T61 T9300 with 4GB in Ram but my HDD is 5400 rpm, If I want upgrade or do little more fast, I think that If Increase the HDD at 7200 rpm would have more fast ? One suggestion ?
Thanks -
Yes, as stated a 7200 RPM drive will perform faster than a 5400RPM drive in general. Of course you might use a little more battery power but I think the performance benefit is worth it. Go to newegg.com and look at the 2.5" 7200 RPM drives. Read the user reviews for each of those drives on newegg.com Then google the model number along with the word "review". You'll find lots of information. When I purchased my T61 about 9 months ago I got the fastes hard drive available. There is probably something better now. Click the link in my sig "My T61" for more information about my hard drive.
You can also click the hardware install videos in my sig if you have questions about how to install it. And, to take it a step further. If you read my clean install guide it includes instructions on how to do a clean install on a new hard drive at the same time.
Upgrade HDD of my Lenovo T61
