    Hi all,

I currently have a T60 2007-F2G laptop with the following processor:

    T2400(1.83GHz)

I would like to upgrade the processor however i dont know whats supported. Ideally i would like to buy a new processor, something like the

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.40GHz FCPGA6 800FSB 4MB

Does anyone have any advice on what my motherboard can support? Where could i find a list of the supported processors? I have no problems upgrading to the bios however i need to know whats supported.

    Many thanks

    Jay

The T7600 is the highest chip that will fit in your laptops motherboard, but you will have to check for BIOS support.

The reason the T7600 is the highest is that when the newer lines came out, they changed the socket. Your laptop needs a Socket M CPU, NOT a newer socket P.
