    Hi everyone:

I am considering to upgrade my wireless adapter for my laptop. Currently I am using Thinkpad X230 Tablet with Intel Centrino Wireless N 2200. My laptop has bluetooth. I have questions:

    1. Does the bluetooth come with my wireless adapter? I mean that If I upgrade my wireless card, do I have to buy a card with wifi and bluetooth?

    2. I am considering to upgrade to Intel 62205 AN. This is the link
    62205AN Intel .HMWWB 802.11a/b/g/n Mini PCI-Express Wireless Adapter - Wireless Adapter / Card - SuperBiiz.com

Is that worth to upgrade? (functionality, price, ...) Is the product compatible with my current Thinkpad X230T?

    3. Can I install 2 cards and run silmultanerously . It sounds greedy but I know a software, named "connectify"; it allows laptop to connect many networks silmutanerously, for example: 4G, Lan, wifi.

    4. I see some people mention about Intel Ultimate 6300. What additional functionalities do I get compared to 62205 or Intel 2200?

    Thank you.

Please do not bump your threads within 24 hours (besides, most forumers were sleeping and inactive during those hours anyway).

1.- No. The WiFi card and Bluetooth module as separate, as you can see in the X230 Hardware Maintenance Manual.

2.- Not going to work unless you modify your BIOS/flash a modified BIOS. Lenovo whitelists its WiFi cards, so you'll need to buy a whitelisted card (easiest route is through eBay). From what I can tell from using my brother's X230 with an Intel WiFi 2200, it probably won't be worth the upgrade. What problems does the 2200 give you?

3.- You can install a WWAN card and a WiFi card, provided that you don't have an mSATA disk installed.

4.- 3 antennas, so theoretically better range and depending on network setup, greater theoretical bandwidth.

The 2200 to 6205 change's biggest benefit will be support for the 5ghz band. If that's not something you need, then it may not be worth the extra money.

Also, the three antenna only is applicable if you don't have a webcam, from what I recall. If you do have a webcam, you only get 2 antenna.
