I have done same upgrade on my T61 in the past. T9300 is Intel Penryn processor so you'll get error message on startup due to different sensors for CPU temperature.

I have upgraded my bios with middleton hacked version which removed this message and I could use my T61 hassle free with new CPU :)

It was nice power boost for my laptop and it was worth, altough CPU was quite expensive.

i have first updated bios on my T61 (genuine lenovo latest bios for T61) and then flashed it with middleton bios.

you possibly did something wrong during flashing bios. did you try this T9300 with original T61 bios?

hello, yes i try with original bios, and with the middleton bios too.
I waiting for another cpu t9300, perhaps a problem with the first one.
Normally, that is possible on this notebook, you do it, so... i can do it.. ;)
