I'm thinking of upgrading my R52 40GB HD to a Seagate Momentus 80GB 7200RPM drive.

I've heard several horror stories about upgrading a Thinkpad HD and the system not recognizing it, and other such problems.

How has the upgrade experience been for posters here? What's the easiest, fastest way to get the job done with a minimum of problems?

    Thanks.

i was fattymcwallets there before i got banned. i replied to like a hundred threads and said the same thing over and over again "sales tax kills the deal". it was so funny.

Nope. I bought my R52 from NewEgg. Sorry to hear about the problem you encountered.

Did anyone have feedback on the dreaded "Error 2010"?
