    Thinking about purchasing a t42 that only has 256 mb ram in it... think it'd b hard/worthwhile to buy a stick of 512 from corsair?? is it easy to install??

    it's super easy, just unscrew one screw on the back and insert the memory. They have instructions that come with the t42

    Best to stick with memory modules which utilize the same chips (Samsung, Infineon) and similar printed circuit board (PCB) to ensure that they run at similar clock speeds. This may be important to certain users who find themselves running mission-critical apps in mission-critical situations. Exact timing may be important as compatible modules are non-buffered as well as non-ECC.
