    First, thanks for the help.

I want to upgrade the installed ram on my thinkpad T400 (2764 CTO), right now it has 4 Gb preinstalled in 2 sticks. On the lenovo's site says that my ram is: PC3-8500 DDR3-1066. But a friend just gave me a 4 gb stick with the next code: KVR1333D3S9/4GB (4Gb PC3-10600 CL9 204 Pin SODDIMM); and I want to know if it could suit on my T400.

If it is not compatible, where can I buy a 4 Gb stick at a good price?

Again, thanks for the help and excuse my basic questions!

I'd recommend that you go here and consider the 2 x 4GB RAM sticks as a good replacement (go to here for a cheaper prices on compatible RAM for your T400).

Thanks!. I try the 4Gb PC3-10600 CL9 204 Pin SODDIMM and worked perfectly.
