I'm going to end up buying one, probably, so I had just one quick question.

Assuming I get the basic package of CPU/RAM(Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T8100 (2.1GHz 800MHz 3MBL2) and 1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM), I'll still have room to upgrade later on? Meaning the 1GB -> 2GBx2 (right away) and maybe the CPU to T9500 if I wanted to on my own?

Just looking to save some cash up front.

Yes that is possible but upgrading your CPU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

Yes upgrading the memory is very easy. It just requires you to pop off the palmrest. Upgrading the CPU will most likely void your warranty. It's totally doable. I just upgraded my R60 to the T7400. I don't know that bumping up the CPU is really going to do much for you unless you have a specific need.

um, 2 GB of RAM isn't a lot these days. You're better off buying a single DIMM of 2 GB so you can upgrade to 4 GB later.

um, if you read the original post, it does say 2GBx2. You know, 2 sticks of 2 GB.

to the person about the cpu: i'd wait till my warranty was up or close to it.

Besides is it really worth it? Because it would be around a $100 difference when you buy it now with a more powerful procesor, but changing it later is very likely to be more expensive.
