I'm probably going to be getting a T42 or T43 in the next few weeks for college and will be using it for everything from programming to design to games. Since I'll be using it for about 4 years, I want to know how "upgradable" a T4x is.

Can I easily add/replace the hard drive, ram, processor, GPU, and other components? What is strictly non-upgradable?
Does the modular bay allow for replacement of image drives? Can I use drives not made by IBM?
Most importantly, can I do all this without messing the computer up/voiding my warranty?

    Thanks for the help guys.

According to IBM's instructions, the ram and hard drive should be pretty easy to upgrade and shouldn't affect the warranty. I don't know about the CPU and GPU though.
