I am planning on upgrading soon but first I want to know if anyone else has already upgraded their T400 to Windows 7. I've had mine since June and decided to put XP on it.

Are there any issues with drivers? Also, when upgrading what will the process be? Will I just put the Windows 7 disk in and follow the instructions or is there more to it?

    Thanks

Did your T400 come with W7 or did you upgrade it yourself? Either way your having no problems with the thinkvantage software, rescue and recovery, etc.?

When I ran the compatibility wizard for W7 it said that there had been problems reported with the software that Lenovo loads on the machine. Anyone experience any of these issues?

Mine came with XP Pro x86 and I did a clean install of Windows 7 x64. I don't use a lot of ThinkVantage stuff.. The Lenovo/ThinkVantage things I installed are power manager, toolbox, system interface, hotkey, access connections, fingerprint, osd, system update, ultranav, active protection.

I've been running 64-bit Windows 7 since Beteta 2 on my T400. No issues.

If you want the easiest way, install, then download ThinkVantage System Update from the system and use it to get any drivers you don't have.
