I am new here from Canada, and I am totally new when it comes to swapping computer parts and etc. I would like to learn and challenge myself. I would like to change the 1TB 5400 HDD with Samsung evo 840 1TB.

My order on Y510P SLI with dual 755m cards. Below is the exact configurations. I am wondering if there is any tried and proven manual or procedures that show step by step to help me. I need more help on the cloning OS part, and not the replacing the drives part. I am more visual so if there is a video or instructions with pictures then it would be great. Thanks for your help.

I have been told that the easiest way is to have the OS on a disc (called Recovery disk? yes?) and then swap the HDD with SSD and pop in the disc? Is this correct? When I called Lenovo, they said they will charge $$ for me to have the disc. However, they said that I can make the recovery disk myself since when I turn on the computer the first time it will ask me if I want to image a recovery disk. Is this also correct?

Compare to migrating the OS from the HDD to SSD.

Sorry if my question sounds dumb, but I am a newbie and try to learn this my self.
