I've decided to order a Lenovo T410S but I'm completely clueless on computing matters.

If I order a T410S with integrated graphics, will I be able to upgrade it with NVIDIA Optimus / ION2 automatic switchable graphics myself? Will it be a difficult process?

If not, when the T410S does come out with switchable graphics, will they be automatic switching (Optimus) or manual?

    Thanks,
    Nikki

No, if you order one with integrated graphics, there will be no way to upgrade it to discrete graphics because you would need to replace the entire motherboard and the entire cooling assembly.

Since it still hasn't been released, that's still up in the air. I would bet that it's manually switchable, but it may be using Nvidia Optimus. Who knows?
