I read some of your problems with shipping and tracking information when the meyer's T61 ordeal was going on. Can anyone clarify what is happening to my order?

I called and an UPS rep told me the package is not even in America yet. But the tracking info states that it is in Kentucky.

Thirdly, she said this was due for shipment on the 21st, when the tracking says the 20th.

China is one day ahead of us, so even if it meant China time, it would have been delivered yesterday. Now if she meant 21'st in China time, that would mean it would be delivered tomorrow the 20th like expected?

Will I be receiving it thursday or friday? This is so confusing and none of the reps sounded like they knew what they were even talking about.

Well, it's scheduled to arrive sometime tomorrow or Friday. Is it that much of hassle to wait an extra day if that's what happens?

It is, because I will not be able to pick it up if it is indeed Friday.

I think it is in KY, and I think you'll have to wait an extra day or two which is common. KY is UPS's main airport hub in the USA so it will go through customs there. You'll get your laptop, no worries! ;)

Do you have anyone who can sign the package for you?

Not that lives in my place. So I will have to wait until I get back. I hope it's here tomorrow. That's all I can really say, I just wanted to see if anyone had the same experience and could share with me with happened with them.

    Thanks

Don't worry. I got my T61p last week on 9/11. It shipped on 9/7 and I had almost the exact same UPS problems. The dates on the tracking were not consistent and I had the package "held by the brokerage for reasons beyond UPS' control" in Louisville, KY. That cleared in about a day so it should not be a problem. But UPS did manage to make some weird error trying to deliver on the originally scheduled date of 9/10 and the package ended up coming one day later on the 11th.

So if it's the same as your situation, I should be receiving it a day later than they've stated, which would mean Friday.

Packages go out for delivery usually about 4-6 AM, if its not out by delivery at that time, you won't be receiving your package that day. Also, if it is out for delivery, express packages are delivered by 11:30AM I believe. Every express package I have received was before 10AM actually. Hope this is helpful information!
