YES im running it at the right resultion. I can hook another computer to it and it look just fine and clear.

    So what can i Do?

Clock and phase - Lagom LCD test

You'll want to check the clock and phase on it. Hitting the auto adjust key should have calibrated for this. Try loading a black and white checkerboard pattern onscreen, then hitting auto.

I am also curious about VGA output and how it will look. I haven't received my Y470 yet but I plan on connecting the laptop to a Dell 2312HM (1920 x 1080) IPS panel via VGA. Are there known issues connecting the Y470 to an external monitor through VGA?

1 19inch crappy reion lol 1400xby something lol Works fine and looks great! Using the SAME VGA cable

    2. Acer 20inch 1600x900 Out of focus look and wont focus completely proplerly

    3. 47inch TV Vga 1920x1080 looks crisp even with HDMI as well

But it looks awful on this ONE mointer for some weird reason!! So im gonna have to fork up money for a new one about 120 bucks.

That acer moniter works fine with any OTHER computer or laptop. just not this one

You might try another cable and connection type with the Acer.

    What grade are you in?

Connection type? you mean DVI? VGA? I can only use VGA as this Y470 only has VGA. VGA and DVI still works just fine with other computers just not this laptop. And I`m not in a Grade. lol. Im 19 and run my own computer Business. if your referring to the mistakes in typing that`s due to posting with my Mobile Phone

Well, I would at least try another VGA cable. Just to be sure.

The lol's, poor spelling, lack of punctuation and grammar threw me off. Figured you were like 10 or something. They just don't make "smart" phones like they used to. :D

So I went out and bought an LG 1080p 22inch LED mon. Well it still sometimes DOES THE EXACT THING!. Is the VGA plug in the laptop only support nothing higher than 1400x whatever. cause I have a 1400x something mon and it works fine crisp and clear but 1600*900 and 1920x1080 acts up. But HDMI works fine.
