    VeriFace can it cause the web camera to burn out?

    Maybe I’m just a worry worried. But I found this software off this forum called VeriFace by lenvo and I’m using it on T61. The thing is when its at the logon screen the camera is on constantly with a green light till someone logs on. I am worried about the camera burning out or over heating if you leave on to long? Also if the cover is closed the green light stays on to? Is it staff to have the camera like that on overnight etc?

    also after sleep the log on camera does not work, but other than that it seems fine.

    I'm sure the webcam's optical sensor has a service life that meets or exceeds that of the rest of the laptop's solid state components.

    I'd be more worried about security myself: imagine a virus h4X0ring the video feed and uploading vids to YouTube of one picking one's nose or something. :D j/k
