This didn't work for me even though I have the Thinkpad X200. I get an error saying "This program can only be installed on Lenovo machines"....uh...yea

But I did do a fresh install of vista 64 bit. I don't know if that matters.

EDIT: I got it working now. After the error msg come up, Vista asks if I want to "Reinstall with recommended settings". Clicking on that allows me to complete the setup up. Weird.

EDIT 2: It actually doesn't work. I can get into setup and even enroll my face but when I log out, in the log in screen there isn't any option to login with veriface. :(

So has anybody gotten this to work correctly on a ThinkPad?

I am getting ready to purchase a T400 and would like to use this, mainly because I only hear that everybody has issues with fingerprint readers.

    Any success out there?

I installed it on an Asus M50-Va and it worked flawlessly, even in low light conditions.

So if this Veriface will cause problems and not really work with a ThinkPad, does anybody know of any other aftermarket facial recognition software that works well and will work with a ThinkPad.

I have a finger print reader and it is more trouble than its worth right now and like the idea of not having to type PW every time.

"Veriface I" works perfectly on my Asus laptop, except if the lights are low. That's why I'm looking for the second version.

Forgive me for bumping this thread...

I was wondering if there was any development on the whole subject. I've got a Dell 1340 and FastAccess, but I found it's making the system very unstable and eats resources. Veriface v1 works, but it's detection is somewhat weird and it seems to be mostly... Japanese? Well, it adds some annoying context menu items that I couldn't possibly remove.

I was also wondering... if not Veriface, what other software might do the trick?

I am in a similar boat but with a compatibility issue!

I have veriface and it worked on my previous vista version but it doesn't work on Win 7 anymore? I have found files for an XP version of the program from may, but would it work?

I am kind of surprised considering the fact that Win 7 is based on Vista so things should've worked out..

It seems the XP 2009 file i downloaded repaired the program [i locked the computer and logged back in] even though a non-compatibility box still shows up when I open the program..
