Hello all. Just got a u330 and for the most part I love it. I have been searching for somthing nice in the 13" form factor for a while. Narrowed it down to HP DV3t or Dell Studio 13 but last minute bid on ebay got me an IdeaPad. I am wanting to watch movies on my tv (SD) with it but am not having any luck.
My tv has no HDMI and only has component, S-video and composite RCA.
I have tried a VGA to component cable however I cannot lower the resolution on the U330 video card to 480x640. The next solution would be to get a scan converter and carry that around. If I were to do that I would want a good one.
Another Idea I have would be to buy a media hard drive with analog video out. Better all around more functionality etc. Still something else to lug around. The PS3 could be used in a similiar way as the media drive. No portability. It seems that many Laptops this size have gone away from including an Svideo out. This must be a common problem. Am i missing something here? Any input would help greatly and reaffirm my choice. Thank you Happy lenovo owner.
