I needs some help as how the most economical way to perform a clean install of Vista 64 on my pending T61P order. Phone orders are down as well as the website. I am waiting for a call back from my Rep.
You can get Vista Business 64 installed on the T61p but they will not give you an install CD only the restore crap.
Is there any way to get an install CD so I can do a clean install for free? Can I get a CD from MS?
Am I better off buying a OEM Vista from New Egg?(money I do not want to spend) I find this really annoying ThinkPad does this.
Any help would be great!

You will find a lot of information about this with the search function. Also, you can buy a 64-bit "anytime upgrade DVD" for about $5 from many online retailers. This DVD can be used for a clean install.

Thank you.
So if I get the "Anytime Upgrade DVD" and have Vista Ultimate 32 preinstalled I can use the Upgrade DVD to clean install Vista Unlimate 64?
Found the Upgrade 64 here: http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade-NAmerica-English/dp/B000MFGVWE -
That's what I intend to do... while following one of several guides available.
