    Hi all,

    I have a T400 w/ switchable graphics. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64.

My problem relates to Vista DreamScene. When I'm using DreamScene and high performance graphics (ATI) and I switch to energy saving (Intel), there's no problems. But when I try to switch back to high performance, DreamScene closes, leaving a blank desktop and Windows displays a message about how DreamScene cannot run because there are 2 graphic cards.

Any idea if there is a problem w/ my settings somewhere in Power Manager or what not or is it just a problem I'll have to live w/ for having switchable graphics?

    Thanks.

Thanks but I like the option of being able to switch between the two. I am about 50% AC and 50% unplugged so I'd like to switch depending on the situation.

when i switch betw cards while playing a video, the video disappears.
so it's got something to do with the overlay or the way the stream gets processed in the card.
what switching does is disable the one the video was being sent to. how's the player supposed to know?
but merely stopping the video, w/o restarting media player classic circumvents this.
