I just received my new T60, 2613-HJU (c2d 2ghz, x1300, 60gb, 512mb, 14.1 sxga, XPhome) and I noticed that it did NOT come with a Vista sticker on the system. I was under the impression that this should have been Vista compatible and that I should be receiving a Vista upgrade. Does anybody have any input on this? Dealt with this issue before?

    Thanks

Not all companies put "Vista Capable" or "Vista Ready" stickers on their systems. And if they don't it doesn't mean it's not ready for Vista. If you bought the system under the assumption you will be getting the Vista Express Upgrade, check your manuals that came with the computer. The upgrade form you need to fill out looks like a card to register a product. It's fairly easy to miss and throw away as junk.

I think they must forget that sticker?
    here is the requirement:
    http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/microsoft/vista/sysreq.html

I believe your machine is Windows Vista Capable systems
    also, Lenovo website shows:
Call Lenovo, and tell them what you want. I believe they will help you out.
Also, please update ur infomation, then we will know what will happen next.

If you bought your notebook after October 26, you should get the Vista upgrade irregardless of whether there is a sticker on it.

That's "regardless." Lenovo isn't doing the card to fill out in the manuals thing BTW, it's handled online instead.

You don't need it. You need the serial number of your lenovo PC and your XP product key. Visit IBM's vista upgrade page and follow its upgrade link.

I know, but some people genuinely don't know that the word doesn't have an "ir" at the front.

    sorry about confusing.
I just double checked with online rep.
he told me I dont need anycode.
    I just need
    1.my COA number, machine type.
    2. Download rebate form from Lenovo.
Basicly, they price will be $90. + shipping/handing
    total: may over $100.

Follow these steps( I figure out by myself, not 100% garteen is right):
    1. go to website: https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/vista/ (reference from http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/microsoft/vista/upgrade.html)
2."Do you have a serialized Upgrade Redemption Form?" ( ans:NO)
    3. click Windows VIsta pic link located on the bottom right.
    4. following the instruction....

It's $5 if your machine came with pro, otherwise you pay and get a MIR.

    Hi guys,

I just got my Express upgrade disc. They said it would take 3 weeks but it took 2 weeks for me.

I'm soooooo excited, I'm going to test it out right now. All the IBM drivers for Vista can be installed inside of Windows, right? I hope I do this right...
