I have t60 widecsreen with vista ultimate , everytime the laptop boots up hd light is blinking like crazy all the time, I have to wait after 10 minutes before I can actually do anything on the laptop.

I tried to take out unnecessary programs from the startup also , anyone having issues with vista desktop taking longtime to comeup.

    Vista FTW. :p

You shouldn't need 2 gig as most notebooks run Vista with 1 gig of memory. My suggestion is when the problem occurs go directly into Task Manager and see what process or application is bogging down the system.

That's why I ordered my T60 with XP Pro.
