Has anyone else had trouble installing USB drivers using Vista ? I have tried to install drivers for a media card reader (I have the driver disc) and a wireless mouse. Both have failed to install.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks in advance !

Did you make sure they're Vista compatible?

I did. That was the first thing that I checked, just to make sure that I hadn't overlooked it.

Vista is driving me crazy !! ;)

    That's why I stayed with XP. ;)

Anyways, when you plug those devices in, do you get any unknown devices in Device Manager?

Ditch Vista. You will be better off across the board.

I may be returning to XP soon myself. ;)

It detects that a "new device" is plugged in. And in the device manager it shows up.

Maybe you can update the driver through Device Manager by directing a search to the driver disc?

What is the media card reader and wireless mouse that are you trying to install?
