I orded my T60 on November 15th and received it on December 7th. On like December 10th I signed up for the Vista Upgrade Express and on about December 20th I confirmed the email.

This all went fine but.... I never got it. Does it usually take 25 days to ship? Is this normal?

    Thanks,
    Matt

vista doesnt ship until the end of January. After it ships, you will get your DVD, usually 6 - 8 weeks later. Wait until the end of Feb. and you will probably have it by then.

Wow I didn't know that. Does that date apply to everyone no matter when they purchased their notebook?

    Thanks for the info,
    Matt

I will get charged, and to top it off, I am never going to see my disc because of a stupid error, and no way to correct it.

Billing/Shipping address I mistyped my street number. Instead of 3528, I typed 2835. Thing went through, and there is no way to cancel or correct an order. Email to the side company that is handling the orders has gone unanswered for 4-5 weeks now. I am hoping that the billing address comes up incorrect when they push the bill, and it gets declined. Otherwise I am charged the 10+ shipping and get no product. :(

I think you are in luck, I happen to have the phone numbers for ModusLink. I originally posted them at http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=34519, but I will post the North America number here again.

Just talked to an awesome lady at the Express upgrade place, who was able to cancel my order, and reactivate my COA. American (or at least spoke like it) and understood what I needed done.

Yes, they have kept everything in the US, thank goodness (I'm not one of those buy American or get the heck out types, but if your job is to speak with people on the telephone a good grasp of the language you will be speaking in should be considered a requirement).

One thing that I'm a bit confused about: are we eligible for the 64 bit version? It appears the answer is no.

I was told on the phone that the disc will not ship until the end of February, but thats all the info I could pry out of them. Why would it take so long to ship a disc, that presumably comes in an envelope and should take no more than a week?

Well...I know the retail versions will be like that. I keep thinking if I wait maybe they'll add the 64 bit version so I keep putting off filling out the web form to get my upgrade.

Where do I go to sign up in order to receive Vista when it comes out? Got my T60 maybe 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks
