Anyone had luck installing the integrated camera in Vista? The driver installs, but Camera and Scanners (thus the OS) doesn't see it.

So ... Anyone had any luck?

Did your machine come with Vista pre-installed. I assume you're runing the most recent RC, right?

I bought mine after the "free upgrade to vista" timeline, so I assume I'll just get a coupone or rebate or something from Lenovo to get Vista once it's launched.

Of course, this assumes my z61t ever actually ships...

No, it did not come with Vista.

I am running the RTM version under our VL/SPLA Gold Certified agreement with Microsoft.

I know I could *WAIT* for the drivers to be released, I'm just being impatient. ;-p

NM. It seems to work in messenger fine, it just doesn't show under "Scanners and Cameras" in the CP.

If you install the xp/2000 driver, even though we're running vista it should work for aim and other message programs, but it didn't show up in the scanners and camera section

Are you using live messenger? If you are select: show menu->tools->webcam settings. That should turn on the camera to adjust settings, but not take pictures.

To take pictures I would try Picasa as the previous person said.
