Since lenovo is not going to ship with the Vista DVD...and that I will make a full clean install when I get my new T400, I'd like to find this anytime upgrade from MS.

Does anyone know where this can be purchased or downloaded?

(not sure if I ask on the correct forum though, please forgive me eventually  )

You can use about anything you want. If you have a friend or family member with a retail copy you can use there DVD or you could even download a copy. What you actual pay for the the serial number not the media.

    Thanks for your answer.

Does everyone know where I can download/purchase the Vista DVD including the SP1.
I already have the licence now I want the disc :) which manufacturers don't provide anymore unfortunately.

Call MS. Last I heard they were charging $10 plus shipping for just the media.

AFAIK, downloading the retail version of the Vista DVD using BitTorrent is not illegal. The media is useless without a legitimate activation number. You can order the DVD from MS for free + $10 shipping or you can download it for free from a million sources, burn to DVD, and input your legitimate activation number. You could even download the DVD image directly from Microsoft recently but those links appear to be dead now.
