Since, I upgraded the memory to 4GB, I definitely want to Vista x64.

I don't like the fact that I didn't get the chance to get x64 OS when I ordered my R61.

So where do I get it? Thanks.

If you purchased Vista through the retail channels you would have a website available to order the x64 media (or if you purchased Ultimate it would come with it). Since your Windows is OEM you probably will not have that available to you.

A lot of times you can "upgrade" media for free from CompUSA / Best buy. This should work.

Did you get the machine with Business or Ultimate initially? If you did, you should be able to order the x64 disk from Lenovo.

Sorry, I was thinking of the XP downgrade thing with Business and Ultimate. You should be able to install the 64 bit version of Home Premium as indicated in the post above.

Read the clean install guide for instructions on how to obtain free media.

Does anyone know where I can download the Vista anytime upgrade? I have been searching for it online but can't find it. The links in my digital life don't work.

What Lenovo notebooks support x64 anyway?
