If I order a Thinkpad X61s with Vista Business x86, can I install Vista Business x64 using the same x86 key?

I belive it is possible. When i recieved my express upgrade (x86), the key in the system properties stated it is XXXXX- OEM-XXXXXXX-XXXXX, with it activating successfully.

It can be legit. IMO it is the key which determines the product's authenticity, not the media. As long as the media is virus free, you're good to go. ;)

It should work. That is what I plan to do when I get mine. You should also be able to do this by using the 64-bit anytime upgrade DVD available from compusa.com for $5 (use coupon code shipitfree).

Have you had any problems with driver support?

Excuse the n00bness, but do I understand correctly that I can just order the above DVD and it will upgrade my Vista installation to 64-bit?

Now for the more important question...what's the advantage?

A quick google search indicated that 64-bit wasn't a good idea due to poor driver support and no real advantage since almost all software is not 64-bit...
