    Hi,

On the 11th January I placed an order for a Thinkpad T61p (T9500)...

    ThinkPad T61p (6457-BQG)

.. and today I've just learnt from our UK dealer that due to a worldwide constraint on Vodafone 3G cards any Thinkpad that features the card will be delayed until mid-March!!

After years of using Dell Latitudes, I was intised to the new Thinkpad range due to the spec and one of the only laptops I could find that supported an additional SATA drive in the media bay (so I can run 2 x internal SATA drives).

    So my options are:

    1) Wait for Lenovo to wait for the 3G card to come in (which I didn't even know was on the spec's) to build my machine and wait until mid-March which is a really pain

    2) Choose an alternative vendor (which I couldn't previously find to match the Lenovo specs

    3) Find a European Lenovo supplier that has the model I want in stock... but I'm concerned that my next business day onsite warranty won't apply to non-UK purchased hardware.

Can anybody comment on the above?

    Thanks.
