    Hi ... i have a T61p ..bought it last October ... factory restored yesterday it because I was getting like 5 BlueScreens a day since a for a week.. everything is working fine now, but when I change the volume from the buttons on the keyboard, the green volume bar thats supposed to appear on the screen doesnt come anymore. Is there any way I can enable that or something ? Any edits in msconfig or registry or something ? :confused:

    You may need to reinstall Hotkey which is available on Lenovo's driver download page.

    Ohhh ... I got it now ... read this from the website ...
    This package provides the utilities (sub packages) related to the special keys and buttons on the Notebook systems. These utilities enable full functionality of the special keys and buttons.

    This package contains the following sub packages;
    - On Screen Display
    - FullScreen Magnifier

    I had removed the On Screen Display from msconfig ... no wonder it wasn't working ... installed the driver anyways ... gonna restart now.

    UPDATE : Thanks JwY ! Its working fine now ... I can see the volume bar when I change the volume. Repped ! :)

    were you able to stop the full screen magnifier (i assume this is the Fn Space function) from being loaded at start?

    (Un)Fortunately not :) I guess they're both a part of the "On Screen Display" service in msconfig.
