I downgraded my recently received R61 from Vista to XP.
When i was using vista, the Volume buttons on the laptop moved the thinkpad volume slider from 0 to 50. Now that i have downgraded to xp and installed all required drivers using the excellent guide provided for clean install by Artik3kt, the slider only moves from 0 to 25.

As is already known, the volume on the thinkpad is already at a bare minimum level and it seems even lesser to me now that i have downgraded to XP. This has further been compounded by "the slider only moving to 25 as opposed to 50" in vista and this makes me even more heedful.

Please advise, if there is something wrong that I may be doing here and why does the slider only move to 25 now?

    Thanks & Regards

Vista has 50 ticks while XP has 25. The maximum volume is still the same; it's just that the increments are double that of Vista.
