Recently, the volume on my girlfriend's ThinkPad T41 has started to diminish. She got it refurbished a few months ago and the volume has always been fairly quiet, but as of yet, it's become intolerable (she's a medical transcriptionist and can no longer hear what she's supposed to type. At first, switching from headphones to earbuds was enough of a difference, but it's continued to decline. Is there any fix for this, software or hardware?
