This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Volume- Hotkeys Weirdness

    I have had my T400 now for about 5 months now and couldn't be happier. After I clean installed Vista Ultimate , I started having issues with the On Screen Display for the Hotkeys. I fixed them after a bit of a hassle, and now another issue has come up.

    It used to be that the Fn+hotkey would work, but now when I try any of the following Fn+ volume up, volume down, and mute it does not work. All other hotkeys work.

    This morning I found that somehow the volume up, down and mute can only be used with ctrl+ action.

    Anyone know why this happened so suddenly, or how I can fix it? I don't know if it is relevant, but I have just recently been hooking up to an external monitor.
