I recently ordered a brand new hard drive 320GB, and some more ram, 4GB, off the internet, thanks to your guys advice. Now What?
The Question(s):
How can I install 64Bit properly on my new HD?
Do I need to shell out $100 dollars for 64 bit windows disks?
Can I somehow use my driver rescue and recovery media disks for 64Bit OS(from 32)?
Will lenovo mail me recovery disks for a 64bit W500?
Im at a serious loss for ideas at the moment, Im starting completely from scratch on this new hard drive. Im currently using a 160GB 32bit HD. I cant find all of the drivers I need from support even if I do get the 64 bit disks . I guess the main thing I dont understand is how I can get vista 64bit from scratch let alone the drivers to accompany it.

Your recovery discs don't contain the 64 bit OS. You will have to either buy or ahem dl a 64 bit OS.
You can get all the drivers easily from lenovo's site. I also had a W500 with a 32 bit OS and then switched to the 64. -
DLing it is fine. You have a legit key which will work on both 32 and 64-bit versions.
